  1. Marilyn Monroe, All About Eve1950.
  2. Ava Gardner, The Little Hut,  1956.     Seven months before the Broadway opening, UK producer Alexander Korda  won the rights  for the real-life married couple, “dahlink” Zsa Zsa  and the third of her nine husbands, George Sanders. Plus David Niven, who stayed aboard… opposite Stewart Granger and Ava Gardner.  All three are marooned on a desert island. Pause for sniggers.

Footnote: Five years after her death at 99, , three-quarters  of Zsa Zsa’s ashes were flown first class to a Budapest burial, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, her ninth and final husband (during 1986-2016) told Reuters: “She had her own seat and she had her passport, everything there. It was her last trip, she always used to go first class. She had her Champagne, caviar. She definitely wanted to be in Budapest because her father is buried here, too. That’s what she wanted and that’s what she had in her last will.” Von Anhalt also hosted a “celebration of life, not a funeral,” including a a gypsy band and lots of her favorite roses. “She did a lot for Hungarians… for those who fled after the 1956 uprising, or during the polio epidemic.”
