Ken Moree, The Devil’s Rejects, 2004. The great Avery was considered and lucky to be overlooked for Charlie Altamont in what Chicago critic Roger Ebert called “a gaudy vomitorium of a movie… it starts at icky and descends relentlessly through depraved and nauseating to the embrace of road kill.” Will Smith called Avery his acting mentor. They were uncle and nephew for all 147 episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, 1990-1996, when Smith was a rapper with no drama training and needed al the help he could get.

A BOND MISS

It’s more doubtful that the next Bond will be Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Not because his name is longer than any 007 title. But from August (and instead of Adam Driver, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeve or John David Washington,) he has his own Marvel to nuture,. Kraven the Hunter – fifth film in the Spideyverse. (Aaron was an Amazing Spider-Man contender in 2010). He’s also into the WWII bomb heist, Fuze, and joins M-that-was, Ralph Fiennes, in the 28 Years Later chapter from Danny Boyle – who, of course, directed Daniel Craig and his ultimate Bond Girl, The Queen, for the 2012 London Olympics.
