  1. Jessica Biel, The A Team, 2009.      Both Amber and the 2008 Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko auditioned for Captain Charisa Sosa. The Guardian’s critic Ben Child called the film version of the TV series “about as authentic as a Turin shroud beach towel.”
  2. Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: First Class, 2010.     Amber was up for Raven Darkholme aka Mystique before Lawrencewas signed up.

  4. Rose Huntington-Whitely, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, 2010.     In the chase to replace – not the Mikaela role,  but Megan Fox… after her hassles with the franchise director Michael Bay. She compared him to Hitler (and Napoleon) and producer Steven Spielberg told him to fire her. (No French producer complained about the Napoleonic slur). The Victoria’s Secret model became Carly, Shia LaBeouf’s new squeeze.   5. Blake Lively, Savages, 2011.     When Jennifer Lawrence split for the Hunger Games trilogy, Oliver Stoneconsidered Amber as the girl mixed up with two pot-growing brothers… and kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel.
  6. Margot Robbie, The Wolf of Wall Street, 2012.   Amber and Teresa Palmer auditioned for auditioned for Nadine Belfort, wife of Leonardo DiCaprio’s titular eco-criminal – his fifth collaboration with Martin Scorsese. Robbie won because she was the only one to get so worked up in a test improv that she slapped DiCaprio. “We were stunned,” said Scorsese. “because she was as surprised as we were. But when she made that move, she claimed Naomi.” And Leo told her: “That was brilliant. Hit me in the  face again!”
  7. Felicity Jones, Autobahn, 2013.    Change of Juliette in the thriller set mainly on  Munich’s high-speed motorways. The hero, Casey, was also switchd  from Zac Efron to Nicholas Hoult.
