Ana Belen

1. – Assumpta Serna, Matador, Spain, 1986.  Having lost the actress he wrote it for (Charo Lopez), director Pedro Almodovar checked other acting beauties.  “I’m sure I could’ve brought  out a side of Ana Belen that we’ve never seen before.” Like  the mercenary side;  she wanted too much money!

2. – Marisa Paredes, La Flor de mi secreto, Spain, 1995.  Pedro Almodovar first selected the singer-actress, then changed his mind and she lost another memorable woman’s role.
