Aubrey Graham

  1. Jermaine Williams,  The Great Debaters, 2006.   The fast rising Canadian lost a chance to co-star with his favourite actor, Denzel Washington –  who also directed this true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a Wiley College Texas, professor who inspired students to form their first debate team – and beat Harvard (actually it was USC) in the national championship.
  2. Nate Parker, Arbitrage, 2011.   The Canadian find from Degrassi: The Next Generation, 2001-2009, did a great job of as substitute for Graham –  winning Best Supporting Actor from the  African-American Film Critics’ Association.
