Brandon was signed and sealed for Johnny Cage. Then, on March 31, 1993, the cap of a harmless blank penetrated his abdomen and lodged in his spine in a fatal shooting accident during The Crow. He died after five hours in surgery. Replacement contenders – Tom Cruise, Gary Daniels, Johnny Depp, Jean-Claude Van Damme were bypassed by the Floridian surfer and martial arts champ. He did not appear in the rest of the series, winding up in day-time soaps: The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives.
