Diana Douglas

  1. Linda Darnell, My Darling Clementine, 1946.      Head Ford Darryl Zanuck looked at the first Mrs Kirk Douglas: “I don’t like your teeth.” Kirk did. “I am very often attracted to women who have a slight overbite.” Like, for example, the second Mrs Douglas. (Diana was the mother of Michael and Joel Douglas).
  2. Jean Byron, The Magnetic Monster, 1952.      Shot in eleven days as Implosion and A-Men, the Ivan Tors-Curr Siodmak sf thriller was more or less the pilot for a series that never er, magnetised. Douglas won 78 screen roles (mainly TV) during 1943-2008.
