Bill Dailey, I Dream of Jeannie, TV, 1965-1970.   The New Yorker owed his career  – 122 credits in 38 years – to being personally chosen by James Cagney for successive 1956 movies, These Wilder Years and  Tribute to a Badman. However, he lost this  sidekick to astronut hero – Larry Hagman,  eight years away from, Dallas.   Dailey (no kin to the 40/50s star Dan Dailey) moved on to The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978.  His son, Patrick,  is also an actor, working alongside both James Bond and Jason Bourne.
