Elle Fanning

  1. Chloë Grace Moretz, Dirty Sexy Money, TV, 2007-2008.     Many a slip betwitx pilot and series.  There was a  change of heart (and actress) for Peter Krause’s daughter after Chapter Two. Following her seven shows, Moretz was replacd by Burbank blonde Darcy Rose Byrnes in three chapters.
  2. Abigail Bresling, My Sister’s Keeper, 2008.    When big sister Dakota quit the Nick Cassavetes’ drama – not wanting to shave her head – her nine-year-old sibling withdrew, as well.   Little Miss Sunshine, herself (a great friend of Dakota) took over at  age 12.
  3. Olivia Cooke, Ready Player One2016.  For his flawed return  to science fantasy, Steven Spielberg looked at Fanning and Lola Kirke before settling upon Cooke for the famous Gunter, Art3mis, one of the High Five,  shopingh to save OASIS from IOI.  (Oh, you hadda be there!)
  4. Margaret Qualley, IO, 2016.    Margaret Qualley, Io, 2019.  Change for the scientist trying to save Earth from itself.  The rest is convoluted but hear me  out…  In 1981, the original title of Sean Connery’s Outland was also Io. But the people thought it was: 10. You know, like a rehash of Bo Derek’s 1979 breakthrough – the French title of which was…  Elle!  Fibnally realeased during Qualley’s (quiet) breakthrough  period of HBO’s magical mini, Fosse/Verdon, Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood and playing Linette Solomon in the Seberg biopic.
  5. Olivia Cooke, Ready Player One, 2017.   Fanning and Lola Kirke were in the sf frame foer the red-headed avatar called Art3mis – that is not one of my typos – in Steven Spielberg’s  razzle-dazzler. Including a blink-and-you-miss-’em array of such classic movie  nods as  Akira’s motor-bike, an Alien loader, Back to the Future’s De Lorean, the 1966 Batmobile, Boba Fett, Chucky, Dr Who’s TARDIS, Firefly’s Serenity, Iron Giant, Ray Harryhausen’s cyclops King Kong, RoboCop’s ED-209 robot,  Jurassic Park’s  T Rex, real flootage from The Shining and more… And, indeed, more…
