François Richard

  1. Raymond Aimos, Bifur 3, France 1944.   Réalisateur Maurice Cam started shooting in the ill-fated 1939. WWII began and filming (and France) collapsed. By the time, the Nazi occupation of France was over (many French insist WWII lasted 1939-1944!), the leading lady had died of typhus aged 19 on a boat to America, four guys had to be re-cast and Martine Carol was the newest of newcomers as Germaine in the fifth of her 50 features.  Richard finally managed to work with Carol in Rene Clair’s Les belles de nuit, 1952.  Aimos (often billed that way) died after completing this as his  105th and final film.
