Martha Sleeper, Spitfire, 1933.   All change!   The titular hill-billv ”witch” went from Dorothy Jordan to Katharine Hepburn…  the engineers keen on her were switched  from George Brent and Joel McCrea to Robert Young and Ralph Bellamy… and  Sleeper took over  Eleanor from  Barclay.  The director remained John Cromwell.  In Hollywood from Virginia, Barclay made four  (uncredited ) films only in two years. She quit acting  after marrying her second husband, 1934-1945 –  the Citizen Kane cinematographer Gregg Toland.
