Jean Brochard

1. – Jean Tissier, Les snobs, France, 1962. For the menagerie of monsters in his third film, Jean-Pierre Mocky – the one-man-Nouvelle Vague – wanted all the comiques he could muster, old wave or new. Some were too old. retired, infirm… or dead. Brochard, 66 at the time, made 116 films between 1933-66. One of his co-stars from Clochemerle, 1948, Saturnin Fabre, was also considered.
