Kenneth Griffith

  1. Peter Barkworth, Where Eagles Dare, 1968.   Late change of Berkley in Richard Burton’s last big hit (due to his co-star, Clint Eastwood). A proud Welshman (like most Welsh men), Griffith cut the “s” from his family’s name because Griffiths looked and sounded too English.
  2. Gerald Sim, Patriot Games, 1992.     Refused.   Sim was a staple ingredient in UK films by  director Richard   Attenborough and auteur Bryan  Forbes.
