Kerry Vaughn

  1. Yvonne De Carlo, Salome Where She Danced, 1944.      Producer Walter Wanger decided on a nation wide search – to find a new female star.  He cut 20,000 wannabes to eight (yeah, sure) including Mary Lou Cambpell, plus Vaughn and Barbara Bates who became Salome Girls – while the siren, herself, was RKO’s De Carlo.  In her  14th and final film,  Vaughn played herself, wife of the 60s’ singing idol subject of The Tony Fontane Story, 1962.
