Mathilde Seigner

  1. Sylvie Testud, Lucky Luke, France, 2008.      The cowpoke hero of countless French comic-books by Morris had only ever been tooned  by the French until James Huth, a UK director living in France, decided on live-actioner. He had the perfect hero,  the star of his  Brice de Nice comedies, Jean Dujardin. But, who should be Calamity Jane? Dujardin asked Mathilde in 2007, but Huth went for Testud, unforgettable star of the 2007 Francoise Sagan biopic. (Terence Hill directed himself as Luke in a 1990 spaghetti Western but his leading lady  character was called Lotta Legs. Oh, Calamity!).
