- John Leeson, Doctor Who #102: The Power of Kroll, TV, 1978-1979. Martin Jarvis was also in the Dugeen mix. Their substitute’s voice was better known than his face. Leeson voiced K9 Mk II (Daleks and several aliens). He was allowed this sole on-screen apearance because K9 was not involved in Doc4 Tom Baker’s search for The Key To Time – on the third moon of Delta Magna. (Where else?)

But he OKed Top of the Pops footage of Ticket To Ride.

- Peter Robin Scott, Doctor Who #141: Timelash, TV, 1985. Sheard, Scott, Alun Armstrong, Brian Grellis, Prentis Hancock, Tony Osoba, Carl Rigg and Lsslie Schofield were in the mix for Bruner opposite Doc6 Colin Baker on the planet Karfel, ruled by the usual despot.
- David Ashton, Doctor Who #141: Timelash, TV, 1985. Sheard was also up for Kendron – in contention with Ashton, David Allister, Robin Sloans. Sheard had joined the Whoverse early, very early, going from Doc1 William Hartnell (in #23: The Ark) through five other episodes, spanning 22 years, to Doc7 Sylvester McCoy in #148: Remembrance of the Daleks, 1988. But not for #122: Time-Flight, 1982 – which featured a character called… Sheard!
