Nico Tortorella

  1. Josh Hutcherson, The Hunger Games, 2011.
  2. Jamie Campbell Bower, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Germany-Canada-US,  2012.     When the cocky Alex Pettyfer lost out by asking for $10m,  the support role was a battle between Twilighter Bower and Downton Abbey’s Ed Speleers. PlusTortorella, Douglas Booth, Leebo Freeman, Max Irons, Alexander Ludwig, Xavier Samuel. Seen as the next Hunger Games.  It wasn’t and the (first!) sequel, The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, had a quiet funeral. Family only, no suits
  3. Evan Peters, X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2013.    It came down to three and producer-director Bryan Singer had to decide between Missouri’s Peters, Jamie Campbell Bower from ABC’s Invasion and Scream 4’s Nico Tortorella for the supersonic speedy Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver – filmed in a special format of 3,600 frames per second. Quicksilver was also due to crop up in The Avengers 2 after Marvel and Fox struck a deal. egal hassles are solved as long as Quicksilver’s connection to the Avengers is avoided in any X-Men film – and vice versa. Plus no mention of Magento being his father and Marvel movies must not call him a mutant. And he can only work on Thursday afternoons?!!
