Rafael Storm

  1. Irving Pichel, Jezebel, 1937. According to Warner’s detailed Daily Production and Progress Reports: Oakland’s Storm (then known as Rafael Corio), Paul Boyer, Jan De Briac, Tony Paton and George Sorel tested for Huger. Paton won but dropped after his first day in favour of Pichel in Warner’s  $1.25m response to MGM’s Gone With The Wind. So now I know which Hollywood movie  opened on March 26, 1938 – the day I was born.
