Rena Horten

1. – Mora Gray, The Seven Minutes, 1971.     Russ Meyer totally blew his second (and last) studio movie, with such crap ideas as casting Rena, his ex-lover sharing a split-screen sequence opposite his new wife, Edy Williams.  She changed his mind (and casting). Ex-wife Eve Meyer, thought it an hilarious idea. Well, she was not receiving the indignity of Mudhoney, 1965 – only made, said Russ, because of his love for Horten. The result never came close to his promise –  “beyond all doubt the finest movie I’ve ever made.” Not something to be said about a Meyer movie.
