Alton made one film only as an actor (Two Faced Woman, 1940), but 16 as dance director and/or choreographer (The Harvey Girls, Easter Parade, Show Boat). His other unknown pretty boy rivals for Dorian included Kenneth Donner, Michael Dyne, John Good.
