Lee Patterson, The Invisible Man, TV, 1958-1959.In the pilot, Beatty (94 screen roles in 50 years) supplied the voice of the invisible hero (following experimenting with guinea pigs’ refractive index to that of air, it says here).In Episode #1, it was Lee Patterson. In #2, Paul Carpenter. After these Canadians (the UK producers  were thinking of the US market, and CBS took the bait),  Tim Turner, a true Brit with a mid-Atlantic delivery, voiced Dr Peter Brady for the next 22 chapters.
