Robert Shayne

  1. George Eldredge, California Conquest, 1951.       Only people benefitting from this terrible new rendering of the magazine serial story that led to The Mark of Zorro in 1919, were the administrators of The Douglas Fairbanks Estate which leased the rights  to Columbia. Cornel Wilde’s Mexican acent was not Mexican and he was not Fairbanks, either. And, in the end,  Shayne was not Captain John C. Fremont.
