Terence Hill

  1. Giuliano Gemma, Anche gli angeli mangiano fagioli(US:Even Angels Eat Beans), Italy, 1972. And yet another Bud Spencer-Terence Hill thud ’n’ blunder opus… (They made 18 together).  But no!  This was Hill’s lucky day. He missed a terribly boring movie  because his role was given to Gemma by mistake..  Director Enzo Barboni (well, EB Clucher in the credits) felt the movie was doomed without Hill. In fact, it was a surprise hit due to Gemma looking as much like Hill as he (and Barboni) could manage.
  2. Chris Sarandon,  Lipstick, 1976. Itaslian producer Dino De Laurentiis chose the superstar spaghettti cowpoke (real name: Mario Girotti, who started  in  movies at 12, made  18 with Bud Spencer among   79 screen roles in 58 years).). “It was porn – my audience wouldn’t like to see me in that. A little necking is all right, but…”   In 1977, he chose to make his US debut in Mr Billion and March or Die.  Bigger flops than Lipstick.
  3. Sylvester Stallone, First Blood (Rambo), 1981.
