Lila Kedrova, Torn Curtain, 1965.    Fast losing interest in his stars – Julie Andrews and  Paul Newman, forced on him (like the film) by Universal, – Alfred Hitchcock threw his Euro-thriller more towards his Euro-players. In particular, Kedrova, the Russian-born Zorba The Greek Oscar-winner. He chose her over the Czech veteran Zdenka Procházková, and in all his editing,  he never cut anything of her Countess Kuchinska.
