Rochelle Hudson, Rebel Without a Cause, 1955. Director Nicholas Ray saw at least six similar age-group actresses – Hudson, Jergens, Barbara Billingsley, Ruth Hussey, Jeanette Nolan, Maureen Stapleton – for the mother of Natalie Wood’s Judy.
