1. – Eli Wallach, Tough Guys, 1986. Adolph died of a heart attack during the first weeks of shooting. The titulars were Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster in their seventh and final film together since I Walk Alone, 1948. They were never the pals they were described as; indeed the bisexual Burt was often cruel and dismissive to and about Douglas.
