1. – Claude Giraud, Un  roi  sans divertissement,  France, 1963. Playwright and film-maker  Marcel Pagnol cancelled plans to film another favourite Jean Giono tale when Brassens refused it. The singer had never enjoyed the delays between takes of his debut,  Rene Clair’s Porte de Lilas, 1957.
